Mer...maedhros and freebie paper packs!
Added 2024-06-02 11:40:11 +0000 UTCI still owed you a Mermaedhros! I was looking for a more dynamic pose and happened to find one where one hand was entirely invisible, which was fine with me, hee hee. It's been a while since I've drawn him!
I've also spent the past week in a complete blur, scanning watercolour papers and I've finally found out how to scan and edit them so that they look absolutely gorgeous in digital art!
I wanted to try them out painting a rose, found out I can't paint roses, and ALSO spent all of Friday painting roses while refining my paper textures.
I also painted a few feathers and I think those are another good candidate for a "how to" video for my brushes.
I put together a paper pack for Procreate with brushes, templates, and scanned papers, and I've made a little sample with one of my fave paper templates plus some paper textures. They're .psd/.jpg files, so you won't need Procreate for them! They're on Google Drive, as the files are pretty large. The entire pack is up on Etsy and Gumroad!
I may be slightly less active on the next week or two than usual, as ALL of my student groups are writing exams with me next Wednesday and Thursday, and I have to prepare them and then mark about a hundred exams... yay. But the MerMay set is at the print shop and I hope to have them available soon. If anybody would like one of Maedhros, please let me know, and I'll put him up on Inprnt! He's a different format and isn't part of the set (and he was very alarmed by Chetney, Laudna and Nott anyway).
