I've just remembered why I don’t do comics

I already work fast, but for even a halfway cleaned-up thing like this, it’s two days of work for a weak little punchline. How do people do it? Gluttons for punishment? Priorities? I can do chainmail and brocade for hours, but somehow this totally eludes me. I really want to know, if you have any pointers. ;) Even if it's just "you lack the right mindset". 😂
I'm also terrible at likenesses, but here, it halfway worked!

I also wish I was able to lineart as beautifully as you both do. As for likenesses, Jenny - your young Rey and Kylo painting, which I proudly have on my wall, begs to differ! I'm in awe of both of you, and this little narrative Jenny, is gorgeous. xx

2023-05-16 19:00:40 +0000 UTCAaaaa I hear you on the comic thing. I can't draw them for the life of me--I don't have the brain for paneling, among many other things. It takes me days to work out every little scene, and it still comes out looking lame and stiff and lazy... Ah well. That is why I stick (mostly) to character portraits and leave comics to the experts. :3 But THIS is adorable! Well worth the work to clean up, and I love it. Their expressions are so precious! <3
