Heinrich the Betta
Added 2023-03-13 10:39:54 +0000 UTCKate suggested a betta, and I was immediately reminded of Heinrich, the serial killer betta I had when I was thirteen. He was the star in an aquarium I got second hand, and I had no idea when I got it what fish get along with what others. I quickly read up on everything so after another week, I knew that fish need plants, and a betta should be kept alone, so at least I knew why he had killed both his mates and two platys, but that didn't stop me from taking it personal.
The name was taken from a story by Wolfdietrich Schnurre, where Heinrich was a far more agreeable stickleback.
I think I'm brave enough to tackle Orym next, but he's a rabbit. 😂

I have a fish tank with Bettas, Betta rubra. That is another species of Betta and not bred, but a "wild form" (don't know how to say that in English). They are not that agressive, there are 8 of them in the tank. And Bettas are cool and beautiful!
