The upside: While you can't juggle sketchpad and pencil and eraser and sharpener and colours in bed, you can absolutely juggle an iPad in bed. And OH BOY, look what I found for a wonderful "inking" setting! I've tried them all: Slick, smooth ink tools, scraggly ink tools, airbrush... and this is a simple, very rough, pencil tool, set to very small. It allows me to work the way I always used to with my, well, pencil when inking. I'm so stupid never to try it out like this! I've always used this to sketch but never thought to use it for clean lineart.
Yes, Orym and Laudna break my heart here. And Imogen. And Fearne. And FCG. And Ashton. And even Chetney with his weird pants in wolven form. XD
Now for colour... I still can't believe this looks so GOOD. Will have to be digital. First, because bed; second, because these faces are so bloody tiny again...

I was wondering if I'd exaggerated the size difference, but I think everthing about Fearne is just so voluptuous that it exaggerates itself all on its own!
