March of Maedhros, pin sale, and print plans

Here's another little MarchofMaedhros for you! I snuck it into 1996 (probably late 1995), into an art phase quarely in between Katherine Kurtz' Deryni Chronicles. There actually was no other Maedhros at all between 1996 and 2004. But the special place he still held in my heart can be seen in the fact that I placed him in February - my birth month.

It seems that consuming Prince Valiant comics did a *bit* to my style in those days, and it seems I actually attempted backgrounds exceeding ten pencil lines even before I met my husband (who deplored the lack of them in my art).

Some shoppy things are afoot! I'm making space for the dormouse pins so I've put a lot of my older pins on sale. If you've been eyeing one or two, here's your chance!

Over the last two weeks, I've been wrestling with a new printer. My old one died, and couldn't be replaced by a similar model, which has thrown all my workflows out of the window - I used to make my prints on that printer, and print out my lineart on watercolour paper. My new printer doesn't have pigment ink, so no lightfastness (not 100 years at any rate) and no water-proof lines.

My solution for prints is a local print shop in town, which does wonderful work, so prints will soon be laser-printed by them, but still on beautiful mold-made paper. The paper is a little lighter than the one I used to use, which has an unforeseen advantage: It can be rolled! Meaning I will stock a few of my prints at larger sizes which can be shipped easily! =D The Eorlingas come to mind, as well as the Hunt.
