Zoom test tomorrow - details and ideas

I've set up everything we need to a full Zoom test tomorrow at 6 pm CEST! I have my webcam aligned to film my desk, and I have my laptop cam aligned with the spec-ta-cu-lar pimple that sprouted on my chin last week. I apologise in advance. You'll see it. I think we'll make liberal use of the deskcam to spare you the sight. XD

You need to click the link https://us02web.zoom.us/s/3085898298 to join. Joining can be done on a desktop, laptop, tablet or phone. In case you need the meeting ID, it's 308 589 8298 , the password is sFzL5r . (The link won't work until the meeting!)

If you have never used Zoom before, just give it a try. Zoom is meant to be a conference app, meaning it can transmit your video (webcam, built-in laptop cam, or camera on tablet or phone) as well as your audio. You can always switch off your video and audio, and just watch what is happening without giving anything away (you can watch the workshops that way, too). It's a good idea to try around with muting/unmuting yourself if this is your first time using Zoom. It's generally a good idea to only unmute yourself if you want to speak.

There's also a chat sidebar in Zoom, and if your audio's not working, the chat sidebar is often a good place to solve troubleshooting.

If I'm not mistaken, you don't necessarily have to be signed into Zoom to attend a meeting.

I've set the meeting so that it only starts when I join, so if you're a little early and it doesn't seem to be working, wait for a bit and I'll start us off.

Workshop details! I'm totally open to your ideas what you'd like to see in a workshop. Drawing and painting demos are the easiest to do. It would theoretically be possible to make it a true workshop, with feedback for your pieces/techniques as well.

We can talk about more ideas in the comments and tomorrow.

I also want to offer sketchbook tours! I'll have one ready to see how that works. That might be a fun thing to do once or twice a month (I have maaaaany sketchbooks), on a less high level tier.

This test meeting is free for all patrons. Further demo/workshop/walkthrough sessions will be higher tiers only.
