Dungeons & Dormice: The Bard.

Dormouse Bards are generally seen as the happiest little creatures alive (and that is not just down to their consumption of raspberry wine). Always eager to entertain and educate, they tirelessly hold forth cheerful songs and ancient lore, to sounds of the walnut lute. They pride themselves on always getting strong reactions out of their audiences (though, granted, sometimes it's an empty bottle accompanied by a yell of "You'll attract the cats!")

Back to my other Etchr sketchbook - it's a good thing those are sold in packs of three, and I'd just ordered a pack in February... Look at the difference in colour between this one and the monk. Almost the same paints used, and this is just to smooth and bright! <3

Tomorrow, we'll probably get some answers about easing the lockdowns - and what will happen with schools. I have to admit, the prospect of teaching under weird circumstances - half classes, with masks, or whatever else has been in the rumour mills - feels less like an adventure and more like a continuation of these stressful and weird weeks.

I think this whole situation is something humans just aren't very good at. There are so many parametres that must be understood - I like the concept of "The Hammer and the Dance" that was put forward at the start of worldwide lockdowns. For the last four weeks, we had the Hammer. Now begins the Dance, of small openings, much testing, more and regional lockdowns, more quarantines, more small openings... It's a concept we've never lived through, so it's extremely tiresome because we just want it all to be *over*, and it won't be, for a long time...

Lol I think I worded that wrong, couldn't really find an english expression that covered what I wanted to say...I'm think it's still too early for anything that will mean a loosen up of all the measures. In fact, we're not in total lockdown here (the Netherlands), so whole most people do a good job and just stay at home, some just can think of any reason while they still need to go out playing the tourist. Funny thing, it's called an 'intelligent lockdown' here, but I have my doubts about the intelligence of some...Like this: because numbers are slowly declining here too, I already heard someone say 'Hey, maybe the pubs will open up again in a few weeks." For real...

I can't say I'm having second thoughts - it's just that we now see the full psychological implications for something that is still a medical emergency. On the news, they just said that the goal was for every one infected to just infect one other person - and despite steadily declining numbers in a country that has weathered all of this fairly well, the average infected person *still* infects 1,2 others - and this in a near-total lockdown! If we open again - *whenever* we open again - we will soon be up to 2 people, and quick doubling, again. Unless we stay in lockdown until there's a vaccine, which is just impossible. This is one of those times where you really, desperately want a crystal ball.

We'll see! :

"sometimes it's an empty bottle accompanied by a yell of "You'll attract the cats!"" Lol This one is adorable again. I hope some clarity will come for you about what schools will be doing, really, I'm having some second thoughts about the proposed measures (similar to yours) too.

Yes, I hope you get some good news. This little Dormouse Bard is my favorite so far!! I hope you do make a book out of them!

Must be potent stuff if she kicked over the jugs without finishing them.

These are just delightful.

Walmut lute! Of course! Love it! I hope you’ll go for at least a few more of these - or all twelve, for a calender?
