First Month Update

Thank you all for subscribing to my Patreon and, as of today, actually giving money to me. I hope you’ve enjoyed the benefits of your patronage, and I hope it lives up to your expectations! As I’ve said before, the experience of creating a Patreon is a humbling one, and knowing that so many of you are willing to support my work financially is both an honor and a charge—this is something that motivates me to continue producing work, the incentive, carrot and stick, to keep publishing. But now that the first month is done, I’d like to speak to what I want to do moving forward.

First off, for the $15 tier, we have our first drawing for a free fic! The way it’ll work is, every month you’ve been a non-winning Commissioner member of the Patreon, you get a ticket in the drawing. If you win, your tickets are zeroed for the next month (so nobody can win twice in a row), and your chances of winning go up with every month you don’t win. It’s a bit complicated, but the short of it is, this month’s drawing is equally weighted for all members (20% chance each), future months will be weighted in favor of those who haven’t won before. Commissions are still subject to my approval and follow the same guidelines as a regular commission.

Next, my goals for September are to post twice a week at minimum. I know most weeks in August I was able to post 3-5 updates a week, but September is a busier month and I have less of a backlog now than when the month started. I currently have enough Kink Fics backlog to nearly get one post every Monday, and I’ve enjoyed having Patrons vote on which chapter goes up next, so I’m hoping I can keep up that weekly schedule. Then, I’d like to be keeping up a weekly posting of a chapter from one of my ongoing NSFW series or a one shot, and I’d like to get started with another SFW story for FFN as well. I would also like to open up a set of commissions some time this month, and it will be advertised to Patrons first.

But I’m also looking to really promote the Patreon with a Patron-voted on story. I’ve mentioned this on the Discord, but I think it’s the best way to both promote the Patreon as well as to engage with you all as my Patrons. I’m thinking of going back to the fantasy well that I found so fruitful in Myrmidon, but I’d love to hear all your ideas and thoughts on what you’d like to see in a fic.

September’s going to be a different month from August, and I have to balance my fanfiction hobby with a number of work obligations that, sadly, have to win out. But your patronage makes this both an easier and more rewarding journey, and I look forward to continuing to write and publish more chapters this month. I’m looking forward to it!
