All my work is done until I get the layout back! All the texts are done, all images uploaded.
The option to be named in the artbook is live! If money's tight at your end, wait until Saturday before updating your pledge. If you update now, you'll be charged again on June 1st. <3
I'm really, really pleased with the book. It's got a nice selection of images, some sketches, and only half of the lot are Tolkien. Which is good, as then the copyright question is negligible. It's pretty much the ratio we had in the last artbook as well.
This is our timeframe: I hope to get the printing file around early July. Depending on when that is, I might even be able to have this baby printed before I go on holiday in late July, which means I could even have it in Birmingham. But that's still not certain.
There'll be a preorder for the books on Etsy, and there'll be books with sketches, bundles with prints, and maaaaaaybe with another exclusive pin, but that's still up in the air.

Looking great! I will definitely preorder as soon as you open preorders, and sketches and prints with the book sounds great. I bought your last artbook on Etsy and proudly displayed it on top of my bookshelf for a year. Many visitors remarked on it and admired the cover image :)I'm looking forward to the postcard calendar as well. I will upgrade my pledge in time for it :)

I'll do a pre-order around July/August to cover some of the cost, but with Patreon, and my business going really well this year thanks to the pins, I won't be too deeply out of pocket!

Does that mean that you will have a ready MS and layout and you just let a printer do the printing. Will it be a hardcover or paperback. Even if you do a lot of the work yourself it is still quite costly to do full color printing. Will you do some pre sale or crow funding? It is a lot to consider when doing an art book. The quality of the paper and the consideration how the paintings comes out in print. Lots of questions. I am also going to do an art book after I finish the artwork for mine and my daughters trilogy (this summer).

The Maglor and Nerdanel ones... and of course the Maedhros ones... I'd love to see them there! EDITED: And I'd love a new pair of glasses as well. I've just spotted some of those sketches... :#I
