The eagles are coming! And what else? (Poll)
Added 2019-05-01 20:03:42 +0000 UTCIn between packing up Etsy orders (all of yours will go out before the weekend!) I'm planning the next batch of pins, as well as thinking about what we'll do for a new Celebration tier reward in late summer!
I've cleaned up the Maglor, Fingon, and Professor designs, so those will go in production soon. I also want to add some more designs that don't require you to be an absolute Silmarillion nerd in order to appreciate them. I've spent so much time with you lovely guys that I keep forgetting the Sil isn't that much of a common knowledge. If I had a dollar for every person, during the last con, who spied my pins, darted over to look at them with eyes shining, then slowly dimming as they realised that they didn't recognise anything before slinking away (carefully avoiding eye contact), it would have been a very successful con indeed. =D
In people's desperation to recognise anyone, Fingolfin was in turn taken for Melkor and Thorin. I'll just leave that here.
So, Eagles!! These boys will have at least two posts on the back, possibly three. I'm thinking 50mm for the size.
And now - Celebration tier reward! I'm beyond happy to see that most people in that tier seem to be making themselves comfortable there (woo-hoo!), so that means we can dream big, in terms of shipping and real-life goodies. What, generally speaking, would you like to see?

2019-05-03 16:14:14 +0000 UTCOther characters might actually be a problem - I just heard from a friend that the Amazon makers of the new series are trawling Etsy and sending C&Ds to people doing stuff that encroaches on their space. I've never got into any trouble with them (or with Warner when they did the same a few years ago), so I might want to stick with the more obscure stuff after all...
