I did need some ref for the banner - my kids just stood holding a convention table cloth tied to a broomstick with the appropriate whoosh.

2019-02-09 10:00:00 +0000 UTCI’m in for as many hugs as needed but I’d like to hug Maedhros as well.. ^^ For some reason, several years ago I imagined one scene at the end of the Nírnaeth where Maedhros realizes everything is lost and Uldor tries to kill him and he is willing to let him, because he doesn’t care anymore, and then Maglor kills Uldor in order to save his brother. Maglor is, to me, like the ever caring one. 💕

Also, this seems a bit profane for the scene depicted, but I'm always amazed at how well you draw layered, complex clothes and how naturally they fit the bodies beneath and how things like cloaks flow and fall and how RIGHT it all looks. :D I find that incredibly hard to do, which is one of the major reasons I tend to avoid fullbody pictures in my own art ... Nobody looks exactly their best when I am their fashion designer. ;D Anyway, fantastic work as always, I'm really excited to see how this one will develop! <3 (Also, slightly unrelated: I can report that the Swedish translation of the Silmarillion is wonderful, at least to me, a non-native Swedish-reader, and I am enjoying my time with it immensely! Trying to go through it as slow as possible (which I also have to, because there are so many names, haha) and it has become a very treasured part of my day. :) <3 So much better than the poor German one, I don't know what went wrong there ... Though I guess it might actually help to read it in your non-native language, it somehow adds to the "mythicalness" of it all.)
