I'm really excited painting this, haha. Might be the beginning of my Grey Phase.
Aaaaand I really feel Maedhros needs to make another appearance in my next piece. He had zero in 2018, or did he? Just another way to show that year was rubbish!
I'm looking to do something iconic. Maybe not Thangorodrim though, although he's had that coming since 2012. At the burning of the ships, maybe? Waiving his claim to the throne? Union of Maedhros (though that would feel weird, another heroic ride to doom). Any other thoughts? (And can we get Bert in?)

Not sure if I'll do long-haired - I started giving him long hair on the last piece, and it didn't feel right... we'll see!

2019-01-21 07:31:48 +0000 UTCI'd love to see the burning of the ships in Losgar. Or Maedhros and Fingon in Valinor during the Days of the Trees or after rebirth. Anything with Maedhros is great but I won't deny that I'd love to see long-haired Maedhros.

Finally obtaining the Silmaril on the verge of despair and despite growing doubts about the justice of their own actions... such a shadow of "hopeless triumph".. What could be more epic?) Iconic and controversial at the same time.

I love this grey and the result is just amazing <3 As for Maedhros, I like all of your propositions, especially the waving of the throne and the Union (why not a part of the Ulfang-episode?). And what about Maedhros and Maglor and the "Surely that is a Silmaril that shines now in the West?" ? Or, after the Second or Third Kinslaying realizing some brothers have fallen? (rude), or looking down at the pass of Aglon from Himring before the Bragollach ? Or Azaghal giving him the dragon-helm? So many ideas...

I do need to stick to my commitment to my Trilogy artwork where Prince Rama has an emerald greenish hue. Sita has black hair and wears a yellow silken garment most of the time and the more evil minded vampire race mostly have copper red hair.

I remember reading this conversation you had with artist Maria Filatova in DeviantArt on her picture called... was it “First walk”?, where Fingon is helping a recently rescued Maedhros to stand up and walk. You said you had a similar painting, but I couldn’t find it. It’s not an iconic moment really, but I’d love to see your rendition of it. ^^

Havens of Sirion would be great - there are so few pictures of Feanorians actually doing the kinslaying and that's a whole new level of tragic. Btw what happened to that 'Ambushed' lineart from like two years ago? Have you coloured it? And obviously I'll keep pestering you for a new take on 'Maedhros before Morgoth' :-)
