The Fall of Gil-galad. Very unfittingly, there are a few hilarities here. First, of course, there is Bert, of Gondolin fame, on Gil-galad's left. (The one holding the banner is Elrond. So it remains to be seen if Bert finds his death in Mordor, or whether he made it to Rivendell with Elrond... It would be fitting, as he once chaperoned Elrond's grandmother.)
Hilarity #2: Gil-galad was modelled by my daughter. (His horse, incidentally, is not the shetland pony she was riding at the time.) This kid is the best. Catch her at the end of a riding lesson, point your camera, and tell her, "Can you look heroically into the distance for me, please?", and she does it in an instant.
