Watercolour on Canson Vidalon cold-pressed paper, 39x19 cm.
This took such an eternity to paint - and I'm afraid this might be the new standard I'll have to hold myself to. Ack. The timelapses are getting longer. XD If you were wondering why there haven't been any updates since Wednesday, it's because since Wednesday, I sat down to "just finish this and then upload it" at least eight times, and each time, it was another half hour of painting!
(Timelapse for this is coming up - at 64x speed, it's over six minutes long. Go figure...!)
Prints are coming! I've ordered beautiful cream-coloured mats for this; they're going to be so beautiful. And in time for Christmas. <3
I hope my printer can handle this piece, but it's usually good with reds. As opposed to blues and greens.
I'm especially happy with the way the paper has behaved here - I remembered two days in why I hadn't worked on Canson Vidalon in ages: It's really hard to get dark darks. But the blurry washes are just gorgeous, and I think unless the paper had turned everything lighter again after drying. I may easily have ruined this one along the way!
It's probably a good sign that I'm looking at this (while loving it) and thinking of at least three different things that could have made it even better, haha.
Enjoy! Thanks for joining me on this ride. :)
