Added 2017-03-01 17:58:19 +0000 UTCMy brother popped in on Monday for just two hours - you remember the watercolour I did for him, of his fave musicians. His birthday party was last Saturday, but I was so sick I couldn't face the train ride. The party must have been great - he'd invited everyone he'd made music with over the years, and it must have been quite the private concert (even though a handful of people had called in sick. End of February's just a rotten time of year.)
He was moved to tears by the artwork, which my parents gave to him. And on Monday, he drove down by car (five hours) and we sang the pieces we'd have done on Saturday. We used to make music all the time twenty years ago, but haven't much in recent years - so that was really special.
The recording sounded surprisingly good, but forgive a few high notes - My voice wasn't quite back yet. :)
