Here's a first:

I decided that a tutorial vid where I explain a lot doesn't really work well if you have to read through a lot of text while watching me work, so here's my first ever narrated vid. Tremble before my wannabe Oxford English, word-groping, and those rather plosive "P"s.
It's the same vid I posted earlier, just with narration instead of captions. Any preferences on what works better?
I'll probably stick to music for those timelapse things, and maybe do a more tutorial-like vid - narrated - every now and then.

Very enjoyable, Jenny! Loved watching you create from start to finish. It so fascinating to see how different artists work. Lovely accent, too, to my American ears. <3

Loved watching this and you sound positively lovely. Can't say that I have a preference for voice vs. text. They're different but work equally well.

Fantastic Jenny! As my own art skills basically come down to "can't even draw a straight line!" it's awesome to see how you work. The video was so much easier to understand with your explanations!

I think we're quite used to hearing this sort of spontaneous narration in videos, too, so that definitely helps. Though when my son watches his gameplay videos on Youtube. I sometimes want to reach through his screen and shake the speaker! ;)

I've lived in England for a year, and at the end of that period, I could hold long conversations with Englishmen without giving away I was actually German. I've become a bit rusty now.

Hey, British English is the best! ... if done right. Pray you never hear me trying to sound American. My students always laugh their heads off if I do. :D

I thought it was very clear and easy to follow. I did not mind the British English or the plosive 'p's at all. Mics are just hard when they're near your mouth and you say p words. Anyway, my opinion: it was easier for me to follow along by listening to you explain and watching the art develop. When I'm reading captions on the screen, I'm busy reading words, and I can miss little details, which happens very quickly at 32x speed.

Love it Jenny, a lot of your inflection and idioms are VERY English. ;-)

Very cool, Jenny. You speak clearer English than most native speakers I know.

No need to tremble, your narration is excellent! (I didn't notice any word groping at all.)
