News: Settling In/ Got the upgrade
Added 2023-07-03 07:53:20 +0000 UTCTook a lot of trips back and forth for the amount of stuff I did not realize I had, but finally settling in.
Also got the rig upgrade I needed, my past specs were:
My Laptop: MSI GT80 SLI
My past rig: i9 9900k / RTX 2070 + RTX 2080ti
So as you can see I desperately needed the upgrade.
I am still currently in the process of transferring all my data to the new pc/ installing the programs.
But I did some test renders on some scenes and the results are outstanding.
Just for example:
On my past rig this scene rendered for 1000 samples at a time of 1 hour
On my current rig at the same 1000 samples it only took 15 mins
Just for fun I tested the same scene on my old laptop with a dual 980m card and it took roughly 3 hours.
Speeding up my workflow, I am excited to work on finishing Project Eve, and more projects, I will post more tests in the upcoming days.

I did consider getting a surplus one, but was adviced not to. Also went with the practical route of a no RGB build, save me a couple hundred $'s. Prices and comparison in: Versus.com is quite good. If you can get the stock (Nvidia 4090) it has better fans and smaller compared to other 4090 builds, but last I checked those are sold out. Hence me getting a gigabyte 4090 build.
