Update on Patreon Plans

Hello everyone,

Don't panic: the cost of your subscription is not increasing.

I've been chatting to some successful authors who use Patreon, and literally all of them have told me that I'm hurting the growth of this Patreon by undercharging. Apparently this sends the signal that my content isn't worth as much as the content in comparable Patreons, which makes people less likely to subscribe, and less likely to keep their subscription.

So, after thinking it over, I'm going to raise the prices for new members only. The subscription you pay now will remain locked in, so as long as you don't cancel your subscription, it'll remain at what you're paying now.

At some point in the near future, I'll be doing the following:

Elf tier -> $5

Sorcerer/Wizard Tier -> $8/$10

And I'll introduce a new tier at $20, with no additional benefits beyond Wizard, for anyone who has the means and wants to throw me extra support. You can probably guess what it'll be called.

Once again: the cost of your subscription is not increasing.

I'm also looking into increasing the read-ahead for Elf and Sorcerer/Wizard tiers as soon as I am comfortably able. I'm thinking of increasing Elf to 5 chapters and Sorcerer/Wizard to 10... but that's not set in stone, and depends on whether I can get enough chapters in I-am-happy-to-release-these state to both cover the difference and have a good few in reserve in case something goes wrong.

Thanks for being here for TEWWBAD starting to take off. My dream is that, years from now, you'll be able to mildly brag to friends about how you were supporting me before anyone else had heard of me. <3
