Elves won't talk about her. They've struck her name from history. Their silence tells the truth.
Not the whole truth...
They warn that she was a monster
— her story a cautionary tale.
Not the only truth...
They whisper she was brilliant
— her downfall a tragedy.
Not the hidden truth...
They remember when she was a child
— her gentleness.
What did she do, that the elves so revile her?
Who was this woman, whose story you must judge?
Go West, where elves fear to tread.
Find the grotto revealed by the rising sun.
Only there is her story told in full.
Only there will you come to know Saphienne:
The Elf Who Would Become A Dragon

At time of writing I am getting ready to publish the story on Archive Of Our Own, Wattpad, Royal Road, Webnovel, and Tumblr — all for free. Four chapters will be available on launch day, followed by one chapter a day for the next six days.
Once the first ten chapters are posted, two chapters will release each week, every Tuesday and Thursday.
Of course, my patrons will be able to read ahead! Patrons will be able to read the first ten chapters on launch day, and thereafter will be able to read another two or four chapters ahead (based on their selected tier) each time a new chapter is published.
Chapters are typically 3k words or so, though the first couple are shorter to ease people in, and some of the later, special chapters go as high as 6k. The series has been developed in a series of arcs, the first arc presently weighing in at around 180k words as I redraft chapters.
Yeah, I have a lot to talk about — Saphienne has quite the story, and I'm very proud of it. I think you will be, too, once you read it.
Though I plan to go on for a long time, each of the first few arcs makes for a satisfying story with a strong conclusion that doesn't have obvious narrative loose ends. I know how frustrating it is when authors abandon projects unfinished, and so I've gone out of my way to craft the series so that no one will be left unsatisfied should disaster strike.
