In preparation for the demo, I redid the art entirely for the mall and food court. They're central locations, and the originals were two of the first bits of background art I did for the game, so they were pretty crusty. (well, they were to me, and it's hard to be proud of something when you hate an aspect of it.)
Apparently these look very "eco-punk", which is cool, and also apparently you can tell I was inspired by recent playthrough of Disco Elysium, lol. (that game is amazing) I was just aiming for Burgville to have an odd but cozy sort of vibe. I drew on a mixture of mishmash inspos; Arcane, New Orleans, cyber aesthetic, Victorian architecture, 80s/90s malls. I'm pleased with how they turned out!
Also just to let everyone know, today I switched the page to the new payment model, which charges patrons on whatever day they signed up, instead of the 'first day of the month' model.
Hope everyone is doing well. We're getting along as usual, just colder. I've got a hot water bottle on my lap as I type this.
