Heyo! Duski here. I'd love to show you guys this painting I just finished. It was going to be for Steam advertising materials but ended up just not being finished in time.
I haven't done anything properly in acrylics for ages so it was fun to get back into it. (oil is my usual choice, but I wanted to try something extremely mixed medium, and you can't mix anything with oil really) So this ended up being pencil, charcoal, pastel, watercolour, ink and acrylic. Haha, galleries would hate me. I took lots of inspiration from one of my all time favourite artists, Ayami Kojima, and used structure paste underneath the acrylic to create relief, then dry-brushed it to create the thorn effect. (Carmen's got her thorns wrapped around Crow and Roman, geddit? We're getting metaphorical in here.)

Some details above.
Below is the planning sketch I did, after multiple initial thumbnail sketches for the layout, and the finished thing. I was a bit dumb painting on such small paper, but I forgot I had bigger acrylic paper in my cupboard and couldn't go out to get some with it being the lockdown. (Also apparently some half finished minis I forgot to move out of the way.)

All of these and more pictures will be in high resolution in the art pack at the end of the month for Hacker tier patrons!
I know you don't see a great deal of my traditional medium art, it's just so finicky and a much longer, messier process, so I don't do much for game development. But real paint is very satisfying. People said that Sanguine Rose had a painterly style to the art, and that's probably because my background is in oil painting!
Have a good weekend all!~
