Hi everyone! With the kind permission of MissyHissy, I’ve converted her Subway Maintenance Career to The Sims 4! 

You can use MC Command Center to promote your Sim (From a computer in-game, click Cheats>Career>Promote), OR if you have UI Cheats Extension you can right click on a job icon in the career panel to promote or demote your Sim, OR the cheat below if you don’t want to complete the objectives.

To pause a level, and keep your current job title, and have MC Command Center, you can “freeze career” under Sim Flags.

There are 10 levels available;

1. Janitor
The station can look filthy if it’s not cleaned every day. Not everyone appears to understand what a rubbish bin is for and sweet wrappers, drinks cans, and fast food boxes carpet the platform. So early every morning, you go out and sweep the rubbish up off the ground and tip it in the bin. Sounds simple, doesn’t it? You’d be surprised how it can lift a mood when commuters can step onto a shiny scrubbed platform.

2.  Ticket Inspector
Before anyone can set foot on the subway train, they need to have purchased a ticket. You can’t have someone riding the subway without paying for it, now can you? So it’s entirely up to you to be certain every passenger has their ticket inspected before boarding the subway.

3. Information Announcer
In order for passengers to catch the right subway train, somebody needs to announce the arrivals and departures. And that’s where you come in. Admittedly, very few people can understand what you’re saying, and will probably catch the wrong trains anyway, but it’s not your fault the station has poor sound systems, now is it?

4. Security Guard
From time to time, the occasional rascal will attempt to sneak on board without their ticket. If they cause the Ticket Inspectors trouble, it’s you they’ll send for. You’ll need a strong grip to take the troublemakers away without too much of a scene to disrupt the commuters.

5. Subway Engineer
The trains can’t operate if they’re not maintained or repaired regularly. And if the trains aren’t operating, hundreds of commuters will be stranded with limited alternatives to transport. So grab that wrench and check those engines, because the fates of the working masses rely on you!   

6. Subway Driver
You’ve worked your way to becoming the driver and now the glory is yours. As long as you keep a sensible speed, you’ll be the man/woman to steer the workforce to their places of business every day and deliver them safely to their home stations at the end of the working day. The route may get monotonous, so put in for a transfer every now and again if you feel a little stir crazy on the same route.    

7. Subway Digger
The subway system has proven to be so efficient in mass travel that the government have considered digging new routes. One of the architects has designed the aforementioned new routes, so it’s up to you to carve them out underground.   

8. Station Manager
The stations won’t be efficient stopping points if there’s nobody to manage them. Timetables, communication, and a good personality are essential for this aspect of the job. A wave and a smile can do a lot for the stressed commuters at the station every day.

9. Subway Architect
When new routes are in discussion, an architect needs to provide the plans for the lines and stations and that’s where you come in. Study the maps of the town and you’ll be ready for anything.   

10. Subway Director
The whole network of subway systems belongs entirely to you. Well, the responsibility does at any rate. Balancing the needs of the community with the efficiency of a well-organized mass transit system is a very demanding, yet rewarding, job.  

You’ll work on a few different skills, but if you don’t want to do these, you can just right-click on them in the career panel to complete them, if you have the UI Cheats Extension Mod (see above) installed.
