He’s been alive this whole time waiting for Dongbaek to be reincarnated. I believe he said god was punishing him for naming Dongbaek. I forget if it was the first or second episode but he told Dongbaek that he was 300 or 400 years old and Dongbaek was like ‘why is this man saying such crazy things?!’ lol!
