There is a message at night. But you also have to finish all of the Sunday events that might be holding you from getting there. It sounds like you are right at the end anyway.

I ask because I've done like 20 or 30 days onboard ship without any new events but haven't gotten any kind of indication that I'm at the end of the current content. If it helps, we're on the voyage to meet with Admiral Mars.
