First of all, I want to apologize for my absence. As I mentioned in the last post, a series of events ended up throwing me off balance, and because of that, I didn’t have time to write the way I would have liked. On top of that, I started a creative writing course that, honestly, completely changed the way I see the writing process.
One of the main obstacles I realized was trying to write directly in English. Since it’s not my native language, I often felt stuck, dependent on translators, and frequently frustrated. Being Brazilian, I decided to change my approach: now I write my drafts in Portuguese, revise them, and only then translate them into English. This has brought a new dynamic and much more fluidity to the process. I hope this change will reflect positively in the stories.
With this new perspective, I’m rewriting Time Between Us, as well as developing new concepts for that story and others I plan to set in the Harry Potter universe.
To give a small spoiler and share a bit of what’s coming: have you ever imagined how science as we know it—physics and chemistry—could intertwine with magic? This is a theme that has always fascinated me and that I’m now beginning to explore more seriously.
Another important point: I plan to revamp Like Fire and Moonlight. The main plot will remain the same, but I want to tweak parts that felt too rushed, others that dragged unnecessarily, and improve dialogue that now feels unnatural to me. I feel I owe that to you, the readers who’ve always been with me and deserve the best version of these stories.
From now on, new chapters will be posted regularly at 10 PM (Brasília time, UTC-03:00).
