Preview/Update January 2025

Holy shit, where did January go? Like, no joke, I looked away for a few seconds and the month was over. I’m sorry for not updating sooner, but… goddamn. I’m not experiencing ‘missing time’ or any shit like that, I just got busy. 

So, as you can see from the update, I have been doing some writing! Yay! It’s kinda hard to muster up the energy most days right now (physical exhaustion for a change, it’s a nice change lol), but I am still trying. I wanna say I’m about a third of the way through the next SI chapter. Going is slow, but I know the last one felt a little rushed, so I’m trying to get the pacing right this time. Also, shock horror, I’ve actually been working on Dark again! Le gasp! Not much just yet, but I’m trying to get the wheels rolling again. 

I’m also planning to enter a few writing contests in February. Nothing major, and I don’t expect much to come of it, but, hey, nothing ventured nothing gained.

So, why am I so tired? Turns out January is the best month for forestry. That, combined with what I’m assured is a very nice winter, has seen me working my ass off. We’re attempting to clear a road to the lake at the back of the property, which has been made so much easier by the discovery of old logging roads, but holy shit trees are heavy. So are rocks. I built a small rock wall to help block the overflow from a pond, and that was brutal. Yeesh. Funny part is, I haven’t even lost any weight! I look fitter, but I’ve been building muscle and it’s heavier than fat. So, I’m still unemployed. Which sucks. But, my parents are travelling in just under two weeks, so I’ll have the whole farm to myself! Which means I can set my own schedule, and hopefully smash some chapters. I got that writing itch again, so I’m hoping February is a good month. My fingers are crossed, anyway. hopefully I don’t work myself to the bone this time, and I have the energy to at least keep y’all updated (again, sorry about that…). 

I can’t really think of much else to say. This farm eats up a lot of my time now, so I don’t get to do a lot of interesting stuff anymore.
