Update 19/4/23

Hey everyone! I’m not dead, i promise! Im so sorry I went radio-silent for so long; it’s been a real shitter of a few months. Though, for once, it’s not because I was sick! Yay!

This preview is a look at the pre-house of lords meeting, a humorous joke with Maribelle that I wrote the other day. Yes, I am still working on it, I swear.

So, what happened that was so ‘shitter-y’? Wellp, to start with, my parents have finally realised their dream of retiring back to Canada and buying a farm. Yay! I can’t wait to go play at being a ghost hunter in their spooky old farmhouse. I might even record it! However, I unfortunately had to use up all my annual leave when I got sick last year, so I couldn’t go with them this time… anyway! This resulted in my parents doing literally everything at the last second, as my family is won’t to do, despite the amount of times I warned them ‘you gotta get your shit together, you gotta clear out your house if you’re selling it, you gotta pack’, and do on and so forth. So, in other words, the month of March was a mad dash to get their shit in order so they could leave. And god forbid my lazy, jerkoff brothers help their aging parents and borderline-crippled brother with any of the stuff, oh no. Jerks. But, we got it done. We sold the cars, fixed up and sold the house, and managed to somehow squeeze all their leftover shit into my house…

Which leads me to April, and the absolute fucking wreck my body has been for the last two weeks. I spent the entire first week unable to feel my hands. Seriously. It sucked, especially given my two hobbies of painting and writing. Which use my hands. In addition to this, the cortisone shot I had in my spine last year is starting to wear off already (which I already knew was coming), so the old twinges and muscle spasms are back. It’s taken a bit, but I seem to have it under control, and I’ve been doing as much writing as I can lately. Which, granted, isn’t heaps because it’s so hard to focus after the sitting up to write thing my spine hurts, but I am trying! Also, once again, not fishing for sympathy, I got this in hand.

Aside from all that, nothing else is really going on. I’m trying to get back into a routine, now that things have settled down. I’m adding more game sessions with my brothers and friends to my schedule, to try and keep me a little less strung out (also because I’m determined to master my Daughters of Khaine army, and my Mirkwood Elves are just fun to play), and I’m trying to find an appropriate time I can sit down and actually get some writing done regularly.

Also, to all my metal/v-tuber friends, have y’all checked out Apricot the Lich’s cover of Sun Killer? Holy crap her voice is just… amazing. I didn’t think she had it in her. I am super happy to be proven wrong.

And how’s everyone enjoying the new Fire Emblem game? My finances have been shot all to shit lately, so I haven’t picked it up myself yet, but I am curious to know what y’all think.

Okay, I gotta round this out l; I’m at work and I gotta move before someone catches me slacking off.
