Final Update 2022!

Yeah! We did it! We survived! Fuck this year, man!

Also, new preview! I don’t actually know if this is gonna stick in the final chapter, because it was an idea I had separately from the usual flow and wrote down so I didn’t forget it, but it’s cute and funny either way. I was also debating having SI!Ben ask “So, so I get to kick you in the crotch now?” as a throwback to the haunted house arc, but figured flabbergasted was funnier.

So, I said I’d finish 2022 hopefully with some good news, and I actually have some!

Firstly, I was diagnosed with ADHD by an actual doctor. And everyone who’s ever spoken to me for more than ten minutes at a time collectively went “yeah, no shit.” The good part about this is that I’ll be getting medication to assist with my focus, which should go a long way to getting me writing regularly again. Also, I self-diagnosed myself, like, a decade ago, so it’s not some big deal or anything, I’m just happy to get the drugs lol.

Speaking of helping my writing, I’m happy to report that I’m actually off opioid-based painkillers now, too! I’m suffering some real nasty withdrawal symptoms right now as everything inside of me tries to get outside all at once, and yeah, there’s some extra pain to deal with again, but hey, Ben’s sober.

And finally, and most excitingly, 2023 will hopefully (fingers crossed, fuck you Australian public healthcare) be the year I get the herniation in my disc cut out of my back to relieve the pressure off the nerves to my legs! WOO! Hell yeah, man! More news on that as it progresses.

So, after a year of what was basically a drug-hazed filler arc for me, things finally seem to be on the up!

I cannot express to you all how much your continued support this year has meant to me. There has straight up been times where y’all were the only reason I could afford painkillers or treatments and stuff this year, and you’ve all really made things a lot more bearable with all this bullshit, and it really just… yeah. Thank you.

I wish I had more to say, but it hasn’t been that long since my last update, and my life is boring lol.
