Update/Preview 7/7/21

I’m not dead! Sorry it took so long to get this preview up. Call it a combination of being sick and not really having anything to say.

Good news! The draft of the next chapter is basically done. Rice has informed me I should get it back soon, so I anticipate having it uploaded in the next 48 hours at the latest. Fingers crossed.

As for everything else… blauvongrdbobguvfubdswtipn. Yeah. That great.

I’m gonna sit down and really hammer this Dark chapter out this weekend. I’m struggling, because from the word go I haven’t been enjoying writing this Sune/Henry arc. It’s been bugging me so much that I even toyed with the idea of killing Sune off at the end of it, which would have been the spark that convinces the ninja to throw in with Dark!Ben and Raven, but Rice shot me down (he’s a real party pooper sometimes…). The next Canon Self Insert chapter is gonna be mostly political stuff as we gear up for Valm, but I am planning to give some screen time to our favorite petite-dragon-milf to break up the monotony. I don’t foresee it taking much effort, honestly. But that’s what I said about this one, so take that as you will.

I was struck today by the weirdest urge to finish Future’s End. A number of fics I follow that I assumed dead updated in the last month, so it’s got me wanting to go back and finally finish that beast of a story. I even started planning out the next chapter for it. Which absolutely involves scrapping what I do have written. Maybe I’ll post the discarded draft here, for the lulz. It’d be nice the get this one done, kinda like how I went back and finished off A Song of Dusk and Dawn way back when.

Also, for future reference, I’d literally never heard of A Song of Ice and Fire before I’d named that story. Song = Azura. Dusk = Nohr. Dawn = Hoshido. A Song of Dusk and Dawn. Also I was totally gonna do the Conquest route, then veer into Revelations at the end. Can’t remember if I’d ever announced that before. Ah, what could have been. Oh well.

And yeah, aside from all that, not really much going on. I’ve been watching a lot of historical stuff on YouTube and painting while I wait for Rice to get this chapter back to me. The Bronze Age was fascinating. I’ve also planned out my hobby projects for the rest of the year, because i find that if I lack focus I make stupid impulse purchases. I’ll maybe talk more about them in a short, exceedingly late, vlog this weekend.
