So. With all the cluster-fuck that was my April I totally forgot to post polls for this month’s Dark chapter. Give me a few hours, I’ll pull something out of my butt. Self insert Canon is progressing fast. I’m actually hoping to have it drafted and off to Rice in the next couple days. Again, I’m sorry about past month, but the world decided to take a giant dump on me. We’ll get caught up, though!

... or we’ll try, until the Mass Effect trilogy re-release drops, anyway... Y’all know what that series does to me...

So, fun times, my doctor gave me the month off to let my finger recover. Which is great, because I wanted time off anyway. But it sucks, because I’m now fucking broke and can’t enjoy it. Images of Twilight Zone episodes come to mind. Anyway! I have to go see a specialist hand doctor, but the prognosis is that this is a permanent style injury. Yay. (Sarcasm). But, such is life. My Canadian genes tell me to avoid frozen puddles, not regular ones, so this is kinda on me lol.

I haven’t really done anything else in the last week. I haven’t been able to. Now that I have time, though, I’m gonna sit down and enjoy those old horror movies I picked up, as opposed to just vegging out with them in the background. I’ve also got a list of anime I can get to, too, but it’s less than two weeks til Mass Effect drops, so I don’t expect I’ll get a lot done lol. I’ll make sure I talk about anything I do manage to do in a future update, though. I am excited, though, for the new Warhammer previews this week. It’s Warhammer Week, which means all kinds of cool new reveals, and I’m super keen. They’ve already been previewing some new models I want, so I’m kinda freaking out about what else they could possibly throw at me.

Ya know, Rice and I were talking the other day and I kinda came to the conclusion that I’ve lost my drive when it comes to writing. I needed a break from the hustle and bustle of daily life to just sit down and reconnect with the craft. Read some books (actually sit down and read, not just read five minutes here and there), do some research, watch some old movies for inspiration, that kinda thing. It’s only been a few days, but I’m already feeling better. Real life has a tendency to wear you down, and I needed this break. Pun intended lol.

Okay, that’s enough rambling. I’ll do up a vlog tonight or tomorrow, throw some polls up as soon as I figure them out, and get this draft smashed by the end of the week. Onwards to Self Insert greatness! Woo!
