Preview/Update 25/4/21

I couldn’t decide what to preview, so I’m just posting previews of everything I’ve been working on lately. The first is obviously Self Insert Dark. The second is the start of the prologue to the Warcry campaign that my mate and I have been playing (because we’re having so much fun I couldn’t help myself, I had to write it...). The third is good old Matter of Pride, because no, I have not forgotten it. As long as they all uploaded in the right order, anyway.

So, Self Insert Dark is done and with Rice for editing. True to my earlier promise, this chapter is double the length of a usual one. I’ve started work on Canon Self Insert, too, and I’m pushing as hard as I can to get it done by the end of the week. Once I hit ‘flow’ I’m sure I’ll get it done fast. But, it may run over into next month. Hopefully not by much, but we’ll see. I’m basically planning to edit Blazing Trinity, post that at the start of May, and spend the rest of the month working on original stuff. But, we’ve all seen how well my plans have gone lately.

So, I finally got the x-ray results back on my hand, and it’s... not great. What I thought was bruised cartridge is actually far worse. There’s a hairline fracture running right up the middle bone of the finger, and a shard has actually broken off and embedded itself in my knuckle. Which is why I can’t bend my finger. I was gonna post pictures of the x-rays, but thought better of it lol. So, what now? Fucked if I know. Surgery, I guess. I’m talking to my doctor again on Saturday, so I’ll be able to update y’all next week.

I don’t really think I’ve got much else going on. I picked up some of the classic Hammer Horror Films on the weekend, and I’m planning to work my way through them as a chill-out sorta thing after work this week. I wanna get some of the OG Universal Monster movies, too. I love old horror movies, man. Even the crappy, campy ones. Speaking of movies, I went with some friends to see Mortal Kombat on the weekend. I had low expectations going in, but I was pleasantly surprised. It was a solid martial arts action movie, with all the blood and guts and gore you’d expect from the franchise. It wasn’t great, but it was a fun watch.
