Mornin’ all! Have a look at the next SI!Dark chapter! Because I suck at taking breaks!

I’m also genuinely surprised that not a single one of you dropped your pledges for my ‘month off’. Like, legit, no one dropped off and that astounds and humbles me. Thank you all so much.

So, I got a couple things done this month that are all currently with Rice for editing. I’m not happy with any of them lol. They’re the first chapters of both my novel and my light novel. I’ve also been working on both Canon and Dark self inserts, because I had jokes to write down I didn’t want to forget. Yes, I suck at taking breaks, I know. But! I am actually feeling rested and raring to go on my fanfic projects again, so... mission accomplished? I guess? Anyway, I’m hoping to get Self Insert and Blazing Trinity both done next month, considering they’re both half-done at this point, so it’ll hopefully be a bumper double header! That Rice is gonna hate me for! BUT FUCK RICE, HE’LL DO WHAT I SAY! AH HA HA HA HAH!

I’ve made the executive decision that February’s Dark chapter needs to be a bridging chapter, so I’m not gonna bother with polls. There’s just... no room for them. However! I will be putting together very important polls that will greatly impact the future of the story next month, depending on what y’all choose. I won’t give away spoilers, but... shit gonna get real.

I don’t really have much else to say this week. I’m kinda looking at getting more involved with the GW wargaming community in my town, but I don’t actually play any of the ‘core’ Warhammer games, so it’s kinda hard to find people to play with. Like, Age of Sigmar and 40K just take so damn long to play, but my mates and I can knock out a game of Underworlds or Warcry in a hour, ya know? Still, though, I’d like to increase my sphere of acquaintances. Make new friends, meet new people, that kind of thing. Speaking of, GW just announced a new Warhammer Quest box called Cursed City, and it’s all about hunting vampires in Age of Sigmar, and my nerd-dick is rock hard. I’m super keen.

I... haven’t really done much else this week. Painting is eating up the time I used to use for gaming, so I’m not playing any vidya games anymore. Despite being halfway through about four seperate games. It’s just... painting minis is relaxing, but also requires actively engaging, ya know? There’s more of a sense of accomplishment involved for me than just playing games. Not saying gaming isn’t still fun; I’ll always be a gamer at heart. But, as I’ve gotten older I find I’d rather create something than just consume it. If that makes sense. I dunno, it’s 4:30am and I haven’t slept and I feel like I’m rambling.
