So, I actually didn't feel particularly strongly about this chapter, but Rice disagrees and assures me that it's solid. Considering that he also comes from a reader's perspective, too, as he started out as a reader himself, I'm willing to take his word on it.
I don't actually think that I have too much more to say about this one. Except that I hope y'all enjoy it!

Ben said that Chrom threatened to kill him should he wrong about Emmeryn being there but Chrom says he wasn't going to, just make him an ambassador. However, in chapter 1, he explicitly states that he would try him for treason and have him executed. So he was just annoyed by his daily audience and bluffed a bit?
