Added 2020-06-30 12:45:17 +0000 UTCHowdy, all! Figured I’d get this done to squeak in as my last update of June, and of the Australian financial year! Taxes, ho! No, I didn’t forget yesterday, but I don’t like to spam y’all at the end of the month with these and vlogs together.
So, as always this’ll be a shorter update because vlog. As I stated in the vlog, the Lysithea/Awakening short fell through. I just couldn’t make the magic happen, and I’m sorry. In its place, in the next few days, I’ll have a bonus SI!Dark chapter from Grima!Raven’s perspective, just to look at her character a little deeper. No, this is not July’s Dark chapter, that’ll be seperate.
Now, let’s talk Patreon’s new Sales Tax policies. I think I set up my tiers to be as tax-friendly as possible. Under their guidelines only one of my rewards are really taxable, but as with every new thing there’s gonna be some growing pains. Let me know if you get gouged by taxes when payments are processed, and I’ll try to work out what the problem is. At this point I know as much as you guys do, because Patreon’s Creator Guides on these new tax rules seem purposely vague. We’ll figure it out, though!
So, I hurt my wrist yesterday. I sprained it, and didn’t think much of it at the time. I’m already in constant pain anyway, so a new twinge here or there don’t make much difference to me. Buuuuuuuut then today I went to pick up a chair and it just... popped. Not even a heavy chair, just a little kitchen chair! I lost feeling in my fingers, and pain shot up my arm to my elbow. Not fun times. I’m okay now; doc says just to let it rest for a few days, and the feeling is back in my hand, so I’m already on the mend. Just... not really much else to talk about. You’d think I’d have learned my lesson at my last job. lol
