Preview/Update 84

Morning, all! How we all doing today? Well, I hope. Have a look at Panne being overly-defensive about being the last of her species in this week’s preview of the next Supports short! And boy are y’all in for a treat with the artwork...

So, Self Insert Book 3 ch1 dropped last week. I hope by now you’ve all read and enjoyed it. I am absolutely raring to go with chapter two, to the point that I’m worried it’s messing with my ability to finish my other stuff. The Support short will be released on the 30th, as per usual. The draft is done and with MinuteRice, but I feel like I need to do some more work with it before it’s done. I’ll do up the main tier Dark poll for next month after this update, because the Fancy Bitches have decided on their poll and I can do that now. So yeah. All goes well, writing-wise!

In life, I have been watching a lot of animation lately. I find lately that a lot of live action content aimed towards adults seems to have to be gritty, violent and full of sexual situations. Which is cool. Like, whatever. But when literally every show starts doing it, it gets really dull. So, I’ve turned back to animation. I’ve kinda been marathoning The Legend of Korra, because I got the DVD collection of all four seasons on sale. I love the Avatar universe, but Season 2 of Korra is rough. Also, pretty sure I mentioned last week I absolutely consumed She-Ra, too. I’m really keen on getting stuck into some of the other new animated shows on Netflix, too, once I’m finished with Korra. I am watching Robotech, too, but it’s very 80s and I can only take that in small doses... So, why then am I watching young-adult oriented cartoons, as opposed to adult shit like The Witcher or Game of Thrones? Because it’s simpler. It’s easier. I don’t have to think as hard, and I can really just relax. Reality sucks now more than ever, and I don’t need that crammed down my throat while I’m trying to relax. I mean, that’s not saying those live action shows aren’t good. I’m just looking for escapism. That’s just my opinion, anyway. Plus, I like cartoons.

Now I just gotta figure out how to actually stay awake until normal human sleeping hours for work tomorrow, because every time I try to ‘nap’ I screw up and sleep all day. I think I’ll start replaying Dragon Age 2 (because my mate still has my copy of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake... orz). I know a lot of people hate on it, but DA2 is actually my favorite in the series. I just really liked the smaller-scale, more personal level storytelling in it. It’s also been a good, long while since I played it last. ... the more I think about it, the better an idea it’s sounding.
