Updates and Hello!

Hey all!!

I was reminded today by a friend to do an update on here - it's been a while, and I apologize.  Life has been busy for me on other fronts, so things got away from me here.

But we're still plugging away! I recently fixed the gigantic bug I was having in Roehm to Ruin with linking voice files to the right text lines.... and it works!! So we're finishing up cutting, editing and implementing lines in the game! I have to finish recording Mr. Roehm's lines with the actor, but we are almost done.  We're looking at a 1st quarter 2022 release on that one, and finally, it comes to a close.  A lot later than I wanted, but alas, people will get to play with Mr. Roehm once again.

In other Quest for Infamy news, the team who is porting Quest for Infamy to the Nintendo Switch has informed me they're nearing the end, and looking into marketing for release! They don't want to release in the holiday season, as games like QFI can get buried by the big gun AAA games... but we're tentatively thinking first week of Jan, 2022 - just after Christmas, people may be done or sick of their big games and looking for nice stuff!  So it'll be cool to play QFI on a console! I'm looking forward to it!

I've been plugging more assets into The Order of the Thorne - looking to finish not only the second game next year, but to release what we're calling "The Ultimate Edition" which is basically both parts as one game, as it should have been.

When we first conceived OotT years ago, we got advice from a bigger dev that "episodic was the way to go... wave of the future" so we took our concept and tried to split it at points we thought it could.  But we weren't a big enough team to do that - sometimes you get caught up in a moment that you're really not part of.  One of my regrets with OotT was that - and the other was the notion to make a more "family friendly" game.  We thought it might be a good idea - but the truth is, "family friendly" types aren't buying adventure games now.  They love the idea and can be loud on some internet forums, but they don't vote with their wallet.  So we toned down some aspects of OotT - not that it was a full on blood, guts, sex and violence ballet, but originally it would have been a lot less.... I dunno, cutesy?  We're trying to right the ship on that - and with this ultimate version, we're not only finishing the story, we're going back to the original game and making a few slight adjustments and returning some elements previously cut. So, one could play the whole game as it was intended... instead of basically half a game.  People will still be able to play only the second part as another game, but we want to offer a full and perhaps different gaming experience.   So I am looking forward to shaping that experience up.

And for those in the know - the "Secret Project" is still going on! It's been slow for a while, but it always seems to pick back up in the fall - more work is being done as we speak, and I am about to look for a dedicated portrait artist to do portraits for the game.  Other than that... it's about 60% complete, I'd say.  Tracking towards 75% very quickly.

Frogsheen team has picked back up too - we're polishing up mechanics and working on overworld maps and building levels!

Whew.  It seems like a lot. And all of this on a really tiny budget, but thanks to you - we do have something.  I appreciate those who support us and our games.  We're forging ahead and I hope next year is a spectacular year.  Thanks for your constant support.

Glad to see a new update. I know you post a lot on other social channels, but it is good to get more of the official word on where the various IQ projects are standing.

Man I haven’t touched QFI 2.0 in an age. I gotta find time somewhere. Beta has been on steam forever. It just hasn’t been tested enough
