So I’ve had a bit of a nightmare of a month so far. I have filmed some reactions, right before the ridiculous temperatures over the last few days, but I was still experiencing pain (with my back issues).
For this reason, I filmed those with my monitor precariously propped up on top of a plastic container on the floor, something I did because I used a bean bag chair which sits low to the floor, in an attempt to find a more comfortable position (for my back).
Anyway, right after filming the 2nd day of reactions, I switched everything off, got up, reached down for something, and caught the monitor with my elbow. It was a rather unremarkable fall from not so great a height, so I didn’t think anything of it. There were no signs of external damage.
Fast forward a few days (during which I didn’t use the computer at all due to the extreme heat we’ve experienced), and I’ve just turned it on and it’s broken. I only bought it a few months back! I’ve just ordered a replacement which should be here in a few days.
It’s my own fault for rushing ahead with trying to do some more reactions while I knew my back wasn’t 100%. I wish I hadn’t bothered now because they were crap reactions, given that I was uncomfortable and it was hard to focus.
It’s been one of those months where things just haven’t worked out. When the new monitor arrives, I’ll scramble to get some of the already recorded reactions up, but most of the promised reactions will now be filmed at the very end of this month/very beginning of next month, so will likely be uploaded during the first half of August. That doesn’t mean I’ll do any less in August than I would have anyway, provided there are no more issues.
Thanks for understanding.
Jay.
