Love this episode, these slow-paced character building ones are some of my favorite. Carl thought he was invincible and got humbled quick. I don't think he's the same as he was at the end of S3 though, I do think his time away from violence allowed him to mature and come out of the darkness. He was mostly lashing out in this episode because of the loss of Judith and potentially everyone else at the prison.

2025-08-22 03:01:53 +0000 UTCThe Governor had disappeared at the end of season 3. Rick, Daryl and Michonne went looking for him and saw what he left behind of his people. They also got distracted by the news of Andrea and went looking for her and found her dying. They bring back what was left of the Governor's group and establish a working order, Michonne continues the search for the Governor but never finds anything, even Daryl wants her to stop looking. The main people of the group to say Rick needs a break or earned the right to rest are Daryl, Hershel and Carl (his words exactly are you should stop being the leader.) now it's a problem that Rick had them "playing famer" while working on his mental health as well as keeping himself and Carl from going over the edge.
