I had a similar impression but I think that it's just the remaining construction lines that seem to be wrinkles, especially under their eyes.

Like what are their origins? What are their hobbies? Goals? Fears? Regrets? Likes? Dislikes? et. It's what makes them complex characters. I read the comics and I think you already covered most of them! ^^
