A Short Weekend Break

It's sad when people are so pushy and you shouldn't let that affect your mind or health. Unless you can't live from your art, it's certainly important to focus on your current job and when it's especially difficult and hectic, you shouldn't burden yourself with art afterwards and rather take some time to relax, preferably longer than a weekend. Of course we are all curious how the stories continue, you do a fantastic job to keep the comics going and your art quality improves with every comic page. But when your mental health suffers from too much stuff going on, it's not worth to risk a burnout. You are the artist in the end and without your great work and your efforts, there is also no art at all. People should keep that in mind. I hope you could enjoy your weekend and definitely wish you the best for everything coming ahead. You can't please everybody, I learned that the hard way, but you can be sure there will always be people that support you patiently, no matter what.

The grown-ups here are all perfectly happy for you to take as much time as you need. I'd much rather wait a bit longer rather than have you burning out making rushed pages! It's a rough spot to be in, and I can relate. My job is mind numbingly boring and at the same time overwhelming (boring work, but tons of it), but it's got great benefits so I've gotta stick around for the foreseeable future. Hang in there :)

Dang, that honestly hurts my heart to hear people are badgering you to get stuff done quicker. You do wonderful work and consistently produce quality pieces for your patrons and community to enjoy, and have been doing so for quite a long time now. None of us have the right to demand anything of you. Except for this one time. I demand that you take this weekend and treat yourself! Detach from work and art commitments as much as possible, and just take this time to recharge, pamper yourself, drink hot chocolate while on a walk, whatever. Even if you need more than just the weekend, listen to your body and mind. Our mental health struggles aren't necessarily something that can be solved in just a day or two, but every bit of "me-time" counts towards recovering from burnout. I've experienced my own fair dosage of burnout during this pandemic, so I cannot stress enough how important it is to truly and honestly detach from your responsibilities for a short time to get into a healthier headspace. We don’t get to see the more toxic side of the community when we are only passive viewers, and it can feel like the loudest members are the most representative of the community, but they are not. It can be hard to remember that when they are the most direct with their negativity, but just know that myself, and im sure many people on this patreon, would continue to support you even if you put out less frequently / changed your work schedule to something more healthy for your lifestyle.
