I don't know who he's trying to impress, (yes I do, it's his dead drunk father's ghost) but he really doesn't need to worry anymore. And I'm sure he knows that. But I'm also sure he doesn't feel it.

Now is DEFINITELY not quite the time to address that, but yeah, Coop's holding it together extraordinarily well. This is a really fun scene to kind of watch everything go down... with Andy being the only one whose head is in the clouds and not taking in the scenario for what it is. I can definitely say as someone who has been in Andy's position, you do get stuck in your own echo chamber of assuming you know what the other person needs, and not really acknowledging how/what has *actually* gone down to impact the other person's state. This isn't saying it's okay whatsoever, but I think this is why the scene stings a bit, and my heart goes out to Cooper like it does.

Andy's obliviousness is mind boggling here. Kudos to Cooper not further calling Andy out on his behavior. Also kudos to Cooper probably rightfully guessing his friends know they were up to hanky panky. Gary stopped just short of saying they could have taken their time more.

The mind is such a terrible thing. Happy that Coop is trying not to let himself overthink things and I hope he succeeds. We can become to concerned with what others think about us when we only need to be concerned with how we think of ourselves...definitely speaking from experience here. On a little side shot, can you imagine what Coop and especially Andy would think if they knew their boy Gary was getting eyed up, down, & all around by Emery?

Kudos to Cooper for being self-aware in spite of his anxiety. It's quite promising to see how far he's progressed since the party in Winter Blossoms. Andy is still missing the mark, but at least he is legitimately showing a little concern for Cooper. Cooper needs some room to ruminate for a while, so hopefully Andy won't be so intrusive this time.

Man, Coop's anxiety is palpable on this page. That feeling of shutting the door on a situation and feeling that all you've done is lose control of it, it's so seriously horrible, throws me into a panic. I really hope Andy uses some emotional intelligence to recognize what's going through Cooper's head right now, giving him the space and comfort he really needs right now. Some hot cider and maybe some cuddles later wouldn't hurt either (my brain is ready for the Fall...).
