This is full on exploiting Andy's feelings just to hide a relatively harmless secret. Even if Coop is ashamed of what he's going to be doing for work, that's no reason to give Andy THAT level of false hope. And I say false hope because we still aren't sure how far Coop even wants, whatever "this" is, to go. He's just so used to hiding at this point that he doesn't care about what it takes to do so, and it makes me sad for them both.
