(please read description first!) In a choose-your-adventure-style fantasy story for Patreon, how much influence would you like to have over the stories via poll voting? Select ALL that apply!

Hi all! Happy May! Lately I've been toying around with the idea of doing a little side-universe fantasy setting with brand new stories completely unrelated to The Intern comics that we could do together for fun! We can explore new worlds, different species, and get some magic or the supernatural into the mix!

These would come in the format of one image per written chapter, with 1 to 3 polls after each chapter so you get a chance to "steer" the story sort of like a game. When a few stories are done, we can decide later down the line whether we want to turn any into comic form or start a new one! Presently, being written format with a chapter picture wouldn't affect the speed in which the comics and commission queue moves, so it's all good if you'd prefer to just pay attention to the Intern comics. This will mostly be an experimental feature at the beginning ^^

If this is something you would enjoy being able to vote on, read each option below and choose as many answers that interest you! Even if this is just a short one-time thing, I'd really enjoy having some fun with you guys to break up my workload a little. Variety is the spice of life, after all! Thanks for reading, and more content coming soon!

THIS MONTH'S PROJECTED QUEUE: 3 pages of Winter Blossoms, 3 pages of Interns Vol 3, 2 commissions

You do an amazing job. Wouldn't change a thing.

Medium/low because unless it's a player avatar, people would probably be prone to vote for what they want a character to do rather than what the character would do, mistakes and all. Perhaps I don't give people enough credit though.

ZR

Definitely medium/low

Oh I like this idea it feels a little like the old goosebumps books you got that gave you set choices on what the character(s) are going to do. I think this would be a lot of fun to see how it turns out. Maybe have you create the setting for the story and hint towards a possible direction to give people a few ideas of where it could go. Medium control would work well for this as we'd still have control of the character and give him direction through the story while you'll still have a vague idea of where it'll take us (with some interesting Segway endings that you could have for fun on special occasions or when we take a silly turn in the story which I have no doubt would happen at times.

I like the description of the Medium Control one - it’s like we *are* the character, choosing what to do, what to say, how to feel, but we don’t know any more than the character does where this is going to go

I happy with the way things are

That's good to consider! I do hope that the project will be taken lightly and not lead to arguments. I'm gonna try my best to create options and pathways reasonably equal in how interesting/impactful they are ^^

Ahhh this is gonna be so much fun!!! I've been dying to be able to participate in community based art like this for AGES!

Angelic Bard - Pflegehund

:oThat would be interesting, maybe with the advantages and disadvantages of each species, but it's just an idea hehe

This reminds me of choice in a way from husky92 this is a nice Idea but also problematic interactive stories where the audience get to vote on what happens can lead too issues and online fights. I suggest having prebuilt characters and personality in all regards I would probably prefer it to be a visual novel then anything else

Interesting 😃

Where is my tram-driver-tired of society-cyber-cat within cyberpunk rail-watercanal-electric-diesel-neon megapolis full of anarchy and corruption?) Only in my imagination...

That's a great way to put it, Knoxx! It IS sort of like a DnD campaign! Like DnD mixed with an Otome game 😆

This is a good idea! Initially I chose to do Major Plot control as well as medium and low, but after thinking about it I removed my vote for it because I’m looking at this kind of like a DnD campaign. Plot twists aren’t plot twists if you know about them, and holding back the major decisions in the game give it a more fun vibe of trying to “win” and it makes it to where our choices really matter and we have to really plan/strategize in order to get the outcome we want. In other words, if we know the big plot points, it makes it to where we make decisions to get to the end result we choose (like choosing all the “right” answers in a buzzfeed quiz because you want already know the outcome and therefore are trying to get the character you like the most, not what actually fits you). Idk if that made any sense, but just think about it

Knoxxthelion

Honestly, I have no idea

Cregon

OH YES. OH YES. I'm ready to explode with so many different species! Immediate favorites that come to mind are big cats, deer, bears, etc

Jackaloo

OoOOoo I'm excited! Will there be more than canine species in this universe since its kinda too late for them in the comics?
