I don’t think I’d say it’s moving fast. What happened at the party was impulsive, but they have been taking the time to talk and Andy is leading Cooper very carefully and lovingly toward what they’ve both secretly wanted for years. If anything, their respective other relationships/arrangements were impulsive decisions. I’d say this is the least sudden of them all.

Probably an internal battle, He obviously cares for Andy a Great deal...Enough to full on kiss him, while at the same time his father only ever talked cruelly against homosexuality. So those Walls talked about in the last page are probably going to fall fast as soon as that planted Wall of Fear falls(I'm not sure if fear is the right word to use but I couldnt think of something else, since its obviously not hate towards his own sexuallity...at least i don't think.)

He was initially quite willing to at the start of the comic lol. In a way, Cooper initiated EVERYTHING. People kept saying how horrible he was, but we just had confirmation that it wasn’t truly malicious at all, and not at all something he planned in advance. His subconscious desires got the better of him while he was high and he played it off as a prank. Meanwhile, Big Daddy, totally sober and in his right mind, used the career fair to take advance of a young guy—Andy—because he couldn’t get it from a normal employee. That’s the true predatory behavior that we’ve seen. Shows that being “the nice guy” does not mean what a person does is properly motivated.

This is exactly how this would play out. This is exactly right. The nervousness in the tension mixed together? The mood has been captured perfectly! I think a lot of people can relate to this when they were first testing out their sexuality. There's that nervousness of pushing boundaries. And that giddy excitement you feel when you find out that the other person is fine with that. Now, I'm waiting to see if Cooper is going to start returning the favor. Or at least try to at some point.

He is, but only partially. I haven't been able to buy the physical yet (sadfaec), but I remember Jackaloo talking about this on the podcast. The frame of Cooper came into being from that guy, but a lot of the meat and potatoes of Coopers dilemma is something that was much more personal. It's true with a lot of characters in fiction; they're usually an amalgam of things from the creators life and experiences, not just wholly based off a single person or thing.

SQUEEE~!! And yeah, while Andy should maybe talk to Cooper about potentially breaking up with Chelsea, part of the problem is that Coop needs help to get out of this shell and take off his mask. It likely isn't something that would happen if Andy didn't lovingly guide him. There are also points in life when you have to weigh your options and throw conventional "good boy" attitudes on the roadside if you really want to be happy. It doesn't mean you go and do selfish jerk stuff all the time, but if I was in this situation, I'd probably be thinking about if letting it go and "doing the right thing" would destroy my one chance at a loving and beautiful relationship with the guy of my dreams (which I already have, but if I had to do this in order to be with him, I would; I love him too much to allow him to continue down a path of self-destruction). Besides, Coop has pretty much made his true desires and intentions pretty clear, and I'd find it unlikely Chelsea would ever forgive him. In a way, the relationship can be viewed as null, especially if Cooper already plans to break up with her tomorrow (whether he has the balls to do it, that's what I am wondering).
