And, oh snap. I just noticed that his wife looks kinda like a female, middle-aged Andy. The plot thickens! :O (This could just simply be due to "how many ways can you draw a dog-person," but I found it amusing when it hit me)

Hmm. I'm interested now in whether or not he's really divorced, but I'm guessing we'll find out in the next couple pages. If I was reading this with no outside information, I would assume that they were fully married, living together, and his wife was simply up earlier than him (nvm, I see she says "picking up the girls"). She seems to be the breadwinner here, which can really cause problems in a typical heterosexual marriage, even a divorced one in which the ex-wife still holds financial control (not saying it's any better the other way around, but our society and culture make men think they MUST be the ones at the top, otherwise they are failures). It also appears that his business may not be very successful, yet he obviously has been trying to make it appear that way. He seems to be keeping it going by means of whatever his wife does, unless he actually works FOR her and has been hiding that from Andy this whole time (makes me think of Patrick Bateman for a moment lol). Definitely a lot of things to wonder about here. It shows how they're all human (or, uh, animal-human?), and they all have positive and negative qualities. It doesn't make me feel like it made it okay for Emery to use his power disparity to take advantage of the college's internship day, not anymore than Cooper's internal homophobia made it okay for him to grab Andy, but each side comic serves to show multiple sides to each of the two love interests, as well as what drove them down the paths they're on and led them to make the choices they made... both good, bad, and ugly.

I'm not sure what I'm guessing next on this one. Hopefully this isn't the norm and his ex is just really busy. Everyone can get like that. You can see he does care about his kids from his expressions. (Great job with the expressions). I can see this leading to a lot of stress. Stress can cause all kinds of things to happen in ones life. hmmmm. Lots to ponder.

I see what you're doing jackaloo haha, to make me feel super empathetic towards emery as Andy inevitably cheats on him with cooper haha but in all seriousness I like where this comic is going so keep it up

That last panel hits pretty hard. We can totally see on his expression how sad or maybe even a bit guilty he feels.

Aw man, they were in a rush. In a way this reminds me of a dexters lab episode where he was a foreign exchange student for Japan for a bit. They really highlighted how in a hurry western families are, and I can definitely see that in this page.
