There is nothing really connecting them together than Waldren wanting to have a young ass to bang and using his position to fulfill that desire, like you stated. Maybe Chelsea (i.e., the voice of the people) can help Andy see that - it was her that did say to use this relationship as a confidence boost. Then hopefully use that confidence to land Coop where he clearly lacks the confidence to do so. But that's my hope :3
