SPIDEY LOVES BLACK CAT line art WIP - pencils and process
Added 2023-01-13 22:30:48 +0000 UTCIt’s been a little bit since I’ve done any Procreate process walkthrus, thought you might enjoy it! Here I basically finished the pencils already and wanted to add in the shadow beneath the two figures. So I created a separate layer on top and thickened the pencil, then just scribbled a pretty tight field where I thought the shadows would fall. From there I duplicated the layer a few times and merged them together just to thicken the darkness (so to speak), then used Gaussian Blur to cloud it up into a pretty smooth field. From there, I lowered the o-acuity enough to see the original pencils beneath and then used a hard airbrush eraser to clean the overlap out of the figures. A bit more playing with the opacity of the shadow until I liked it, merge down, and voila! Ready for inks!
