A good weekend

So this weekend has been all about the drive system. 4 weeks of designing the outerfoot mechanism and so much to think about. The 2-3-2 mechanism which will come later. The cable routing. The drive belts, the omniwheels, the leg bolt. Strength, resilience the list is endless. Added to this getting the prints and orientation correct for strength. Anyhow, all this I've done and the result is pleasing, very happy so far. Powered up the motor Sunday evening and everything turns and is reasonably quiet. The torque is rubbish but that works as expected as I used a simple belt to test. Next we design a number of drive belts and pulleys to experiment. The prototype design is in the Patreon share, I'll update with instructions later this week. Happy printing. Thanks as always, Mike!

Cool. 👍 let's try it so.

I used 25% with 3 walls for these parts, these are the most stressed parts. The motor came with chained tooth gear, so I replaced with a printed belt. Plan to use printed toothed belt. On previous tests two light weight toothed belts work extremely well but I'm going to experiment over the next two weeks.

yeah! looks incredible. I'll try it right away.. but let me as you, have you consider using that belt that comes with scooter (the one with teeth) ?
