The Drive System continues
Added 2017-05-09 07:56:51 +0000 UTCTest print of drive gears, tyre, pulley and belt. All looks good. Using Bridge Nylon (Taulman) and Ninjaflex. Whilst the belt seems a little slippy on the print, I need to test once assembled. I've made the pulleys and drive modular so I can change the belt and pulleys if I need to go to a toothed belt or chain (but chain isn't good as it's variable what people can get hold of in countries). Looking good and feeling confident so far.....

Nice! Do you have the motor model? There were ton of variants for the scooters.

2017-05-09 19:50:26 +0000 UTCHi Jeff, I'm using a Razer scooter motor (12v), got them from eBay. They have a screw fitting for a chain but easy to swap with printed pulley or hub.

2017-05-09 11:37:27 +0000 UTCWhich motor are you basing your designs on? I've noticed a several folks in the forums are going with the scooter hub motors to avoid having chains or belts, but it is a more expensive implementation due to higher hardware costs.
