Minor update
Added 2021-04-14 11:20:01 +0000 UTCHello, Dear Readers (and Steve)!
Long story short, I had some technical difficulties since last weekend, with my PC's stock CPU cooler deciding to die on me overnight. Running a Ryzen chip on 100 degrees is not exactly healthy, so I had to express order a replacement. This was the first time I ever replaced a cooler on my own, and it was a nerve-racking experience to say the least, but now things are back in business, and my machine is a lot quieter too, so yay.
More importantly for you guys, I already have a chapter part ready, but I want to do a double-release, so with my PC back in working order, you can expect the next proper update either tomorrow, or Friday at the latest.
Till then, stay safe, have a nice day, and try to avoid the fourth wave of those South African super-mutants invading the world or whatever. It's hard to keep up with the news nowadays...

In my case the really bad part was the removal of the stock cooler, because the old thermal paste became rigid and pretty much glued the heatsink to the CPU, and I had no idea how much force I should or could apply to it to get it loose. In the end I managed to separate them, but it was quite a tense moment.

2021-04-14 17:40:24 +0000 UTCI've done that. Replacing CPU fans IS nerve-racking because you have to squish down the fragile and expensive CPU to get good contact, and just hope you don't break it. Now I have water cooling, and if that breaks maybe I need a new machine, but at least I don't have to replace the dang fan.

2021-04-14 17:06:55 +0000 UTCYou know, it’s sad that that’s not even close to the most ridiculous thing being spouted as fact on the news recently. They may as well start calling news channels bullshit channel, propaganda weekly, this week’s most ridiculous politician excuses, or my personal favorite, real newspeak 5 mins of hate
